The new World Cup - department

Skiforeningen, who together with The Norwegian Ski Federation is responsible for the management and organization of the annual FIS Nordic World Cup in Holmenkollen has reorganized its Events Department.

Skiforeningen, who together with The Norwegian Ski Federation is responsible for the management and organization of the annual FIS Nordic World Cup in Holmenkollen has reorganized its Event Department to better be able to meet the expectations after the phenomenally successful 2011 Nordic World Ski Championship (NWSC)
John Aalberg, who was the overall Venue- and Sport Director for the NWSC is employed as the administrative director for the World Cup as well as for the new Events Department.  Bente Meisingseth (long time manager of many events in Holmenkollen), Wenche Berger (Sport coordinator for the 2011 NWSC), Heidi Brendengen (new Volunteer manager), and Ceinwen Edwards (many years experience in Holmenkollen) will as World Cup managers  and administrators work together with almost 1000 volunteers, all with the goal of continuing the “one of a kind” World Cup Days during March 9 – 11, 2012.
